Chris, který tyto výjimečné schopnosti zdědil, tedy musí dokázat to, čeho žádný jiný smrtelník není schopen – skok z pulsaru Charybda směrem k ohrožené Zemi. Kdyby se mu to nepovedlo, lidská civilizace zanikne...".
