Alla fine fu grazie a un uomo solo, Gatewood appunto, che accettò di essere mandato nella riserva in Florida. Il film si chiude sul treno che trasporta gli Apaches. Geronimo rimase in Florida ventitré anni accettando di stare all'umiliante gioco dei bianchi che lo mostravano come una sorta di trofeo. Morì nel 1909 a ottantasei anni.".
