Movie Story "Hrdinom napínavého príbehu je vodič kamiónu Wellman Santee, ktorý sa stane obeťou prestrelky, pri ktorej zahynie aj jeho priateľ, černoch Eddie. O deväť mesiacov neskôr je Santee odsúdený za vraždu policajta. Počas prevozu sa ho pokúsia podplatení policajti zabiť. Santeemu sa však podarí ubrániť a utiecť. Rozbieha sa pátranie po utečencovi, na čele ktorého stojí šerif Cepeda. Santee sa zmocní rukojemníkov, pôvabnej Rity Merrickovej av jej terénnom vozidle ujde do púšte.
